Kirkus Review: White Heat

READ THE REVIEW
I review by assignment rather than by selection, but I was very happy to be assigned this boo and discover this writer.

The book is a delight, a somewhat tradition mystery/detective tale, but one set among the Inuit peoples. Whatever the author's experience and expertise, the setting, the milieu, and the dialog are beautifully believable.
In her first fiction work, McGrath brings qalunaat (white man) to the silver white cold of Canada’s great empty north, there to contrast modern greed and ambition with the ancient wisdom of the Inuit.
