Some people cannot see beyond the uniform.
We all wear them, of course, uniforms of one sort or another, official or traditional, visible or invisible, defining ourselves by form or color, sometimes seeking comfortable conformity, sometimes because of what we do, or who we want to appear to be.
Firefighter in blue. Soldier in camouflage. Physician in starched laboratory coat. Banker or attorney in a sincere gray or black suit, white shirt, and old school tie.
